The Amazing Race
Filipinos
Since the first season of the famous reality show –The Amazing Race Asia, Filipinos keep on joining the show in hope to win the coveted prize of the show, however, Filipino racers end up losing always. So, do we have to say “what went wrong?” or the Filipinos just lack “good luck”? For if we say “what went wrong?” we are already showing conceit then or “parang nagbubuhat na tau ng bangko nun”, that we can’t make any mistake or any wrongs because we are well-prepared for the contests which could lead us to winnings. We willfully forget that we are not perfect, thus, this attitude of “I am well prepared” I suspect becomes the stumbling block why Filipino racers on the show can’t win the contests and those underdog and time wasters are the ones blessed with unexpected winnings.

For there is the intelligence and resourcefulness, speed and strength, and teamwork among the Filipino racers in order to beat the time, but some former Filipino contestants of the show complained about ending up with bad cab driver that undermines their speed and ability to beat the time. So, what happened is “bad luck”? Even though you are well prepared for the show if you encounter too much hassles or bad luck along the way, your being well preparedness will be wasted away and hijacked. Thus, those other contestants of the show who are not well prepared and well equipped end up stealing the winnings, which supposedly yours.

So, why there is a bad luck? I guess one’s attitude in the shows creates one’s won bad lucks along the way. Remember the law of attraction and the law of awareness? When you are expecting, what you are expecting will not manifest or come into reality. But when you are not expecting, what you are not expecting will manifest or come into reality.
Therefore, if you have expectations to win the game, you must not remain stagnant on the thought of expecting; rather embrace it already as if you already won the contest to make it happen. For it is already well proven on every contest that those who do not expect to win (though they expect and wanted also to win the contest but cast out already their thought from remaining stagnant in expecting into not expecting anymore to win) the contest ends up winning; whereas those who always expect do not win.

Therefore, Filipinos should have also the right attitude in the show in order to step closer to winnings and make the Philippines finally proud.
