Yes, lightnings on a heavy great storms should not be dismiss lightly that one will not be strike by this terrifying weather shocker though you are confident that you are not “alone tall and conductor” on the plane of target of lightning; for lightning strikes not only thrice but any time and many times randomly.

Yes, we can avert natural calamities like the effects of typhoons and earthquakes; that we could prepare ahead but what about lightning that strikes anytime in the middle of storm treating everyone equal to its sight. In the Philippines, there are many cases of lighting fatalities including students, farmers and other ordinary innocent people mercilessly killed by a lightning during a heavy rains or during a storm but no single one of the victims has received justice for the injustice acts of nature like lightning or even this so called “god” was questioned and persecuted to his ruthless acts if he does exist and have control over the activities of the weather but was tolerated for his egoistical sadistic and evil management over the creations treating every creatures as a mere a non-sense pests that should not be given mercy.

Does the governments of the world do something about it now that there is reported advanced weather controlling technology that could manipulate the weather which only proves that the being called “god” could not be existing at all?

But fortunately recent attacks of lightning in the Philippines have only cause injuries to nine Filipinos. The recent lightning attacks happens the night of May 7,2011 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) wherein lightning struck a park Philippine Airlines Airbus 320 plane where the nine workers of the Philippine Airlines took shelter from the heavy rains as the reports said. With increasing lightning incidents and deaths cause by lightning yearly on every country and particularly in the Philippines, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), should do something about it to reduce and eliminate such not so good incidents. There are a lot of ways and means of transportation to get around the Philippines. In Manila, there are 3 types of railways. The first one is the Light Rail Transit or commonly known as the LRT, which connects to major cities and municipalities around Metro Manila. The second one is the Metro Rail Transit or MRT, also connecting to various cities and municipalities in Metro Manila.

Nowadays, LRT’s and MRT’s are crowded with passengers everyday. Because it makes the traveling time way shorter than traveling in jeepneys and buses. The railways avoid the daily heavy traffic in Manila.

The third one is the Philippine National Railways or PNR. This has several stations in Manila. It offers daily trips outside Metro Manila. Like in Sorsogon, Davao, Pampanga.

Other public utility vehicles are the taxi, jeepney, mini-bus, tricycles, buses and pedicabs.
Taxis are mainly found in Metro Manila and are metered-operated. You can find jeepneys all over the Philippines, with a standard fare rate of seven pesos. But it also changes depending on how much gasoline is in the world market. Tricycles are only allowed in small roads, mainly inside villages and small districts. Tricycles are motorcycles assembled with a side-car. They can accommodate 4-6 passengers at a time, depending on how big or small they are. Pedicabs are bicycles assembled with a side-car. They are only allowed inside villages and very small roads.  Mini-buses and buses can be found in main in the Philippines.

Some of the major bus companies in the Philippines are Baliwag Transit, The Philippine Rabbit and Victory Liner. The bus fare depends on how many kilometers the destination will be.

The main ports and harbors in the Philippines are: The Manila International Cargo Terminal and Eva Macapagal Port Terminal. They’re both in the pier of Manila. Also frequently used port and harbors are the Batangas Port and the one in Subic.
There are also a lot of local airlines in the Philippines. But the most well-known is The Philippine Airlines which is also the national flag carrier.

This a continued article from “Flights to Philippines Part 1”, in that we discuss flights to particular Philippine destinations, if one is planning to have a Philippine vacation and Philippine travels and if one is coming from Manila Philippines. In that article we have discuss flights to Philippines most tourist destination, namely, Boracay Beach Island Resort Philippines, Baguio City Philippines, and the cultural Vigan City Philippines. In it also we discuss bus travel if one prefers it in their Philippine travels. And now for a continuation of our discussions, let’s begin with top number four most visited tourist Philippine vacation destination.

The second most tourist visited Beach resort in the Philippines following Boracay Philippines is the Pagudpud Beach Island Resort at Ilocos Norte Philippines. Some tourist loves to visit this Island Beach because according to them, Pagudpud is a resemblance of Hawaii or it is like Hawaii due to its long shores and secludedness.

Therefore, if you happen to be at Manila Philippines or Metro Manila Philippines, if you prefer flights to Philippines’ Pagudpud, chances are you will buy a ticket for Laog city Philippines. As I know so far, this is still the well means to get To Pagudpud if you prefer flight travel. This is quite similar if you want to go to Vigan City Philippines. You can ride the Philippine Airlines (PAL) or Cebu Pacific Airline that travels to Laog City. You could check their flight package at their respective websites.

However, if you prefer bus ride or land transportation, you can ride at this terminal if you happen to be at Manila Philippines. Go to Partas Bus Company which is located at Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City in the Philippines which caters travels to Laog City. It is approximated to have 10 hours of travel. Then, if you are already at Laog city, you could ride another bus going to Pagudpud.

Another favorite tourist Philippine vacation destination is Palawan Philippines. If you are from Manila Philippines and wanted or prefer to buy an air ticket going to Palawan Philippines, you could ride the Philippine Airlines or Air Philippines that will took you directly into the heart capital of Palawan Philippines which is Puerto Princesa city, which is only a one hour and five minutes trip. However, if you wanted to go directly to a specific location at Palawan, like El Nido, Cuyo Palawan, Busuanga, or your desired specific destinations at Palawan Philippines, there are flights you can choose to ride depending which location in Palawan you would like to visit. Examples of these alternative flights to different locations in Palawan are the Asian Spirit Airlines, SEAIR Lines, Pacific Air Lines, and the Soriano Airlines. You can inquire about their flight package in their respective websites or hotlines.

However, there is also transportation by sea going to Palawan from Manila Philippines. But it is a twenty hours trip. If you prefer this, you could buy a ticket at WG&A Shipping Company.

There is no by land transportation means going to Palawan if you happen to be at Manila Philippines because Palawan Philippines is an island far away from Metro Manila Philippines.

The Boracay Island: The White Sand Beach Getaway

How these perfect island getaways come into the sight of the world? According to the repots of its discovery, it was not the Filipino themselves who made this island come into now a hit and world- famous island beach resort, rather it was said that a foreign traveler who seeks scenes for their movie projects discovered this beautiful island. It was said that it was on the travel book of German author name Jen who bring tourist into the Boracay Philippines. Since then, it was history.

Boracay Philippines is an island and beach resort well known for its white sand seashores, crystal clear water ,with a 4-kilometer palm fringed coast., and the mostly visited tourist spot in the Philippines. Boracay Philippines or Boracay Island is situated at Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay is basically an Aklan province at the Panay Island.

Actually Boracay resort is divided into two beaches: the White Beach and the Bulabog Beach, contrary to some who knew that when you say Boracay beach, it is not entirety of it.

However, not only two beaches located at Boracay Island but there other beaches also situated there. The White Beach and the Bulabog Beach are just the two primary beaches which tourists flocks.

The White Beach is dedicated for main beach activities, while the Bulabog beach is dedicated for windsurfing and kite boarding.

Aside from white sand and crystal clear water and beach activities Boracay is also an island buffeted with some weather disturbances like an ordinary country or region. Thus, Boracay is not an everyday Paradise which one or which a tourist dream of. There are two kinds of weather disturbances that struck this beautiful island, namely weather disturbances causes by the cool northeastern winds, and the hot southwestern winds, basically the easterly typhoons. Consequently, despite of these weather disturbances still more tourist flocks into it. During the cool and windy seasons, tourist could do windsurfing and kite boarding activities, while during the hot seasons; of course the White Beach is the main spot for tourist activities. If you are lured to get to Boracay and dive-in into its crystal clear waters and bathe your body with its white powdery sand, if you are from Manila just go onboard of the Philippine Airlines with a ticket flight to Kalibo, Aklan. It is only take a 50-minute to go there.
