Billiards King of the Philippines

Billiards is one of the favorite pastime sports or game by many Filipinos in the Philippines aside from basketball. Actually, there are billiard houses wherever streets you may be in the Philippines. Some are just hiding and disguising because of government tax if they register their billiard business.

From this pastime sports habit, arose another king of Philippine sports just like in bowling, basketball and boxing. This Billiard king of Philippine sports before he arose into sports fame was just an ordinary pool player whose frequent hobby is of course billiard, wherein he decided to join an international billiard tournament in 2001 in a hope he can zoom his little winning streaks on billiard houses. As he was expecting it, his billiard career zoom as big as he was now considered the Billiard King of the Philippines and was awarded with multiple prestigious sport awards, when he won the International Billiard Tournament last 2001,which was followed by another winnings. He really proves he is rightly called “the Magician” of billiard.

Whom I talking about? Of course, this humble Philippine billiard player is now well known in the Philippines –Mr. Efren “Bata” Reyes. He remain simple and humble up to this time despite of all his victories in billiard sports, though he was one of the World’s Most Profitable Player and awarded a Hall of Fame award from Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame being the First Asian to be given by this kind of award.
