Rain
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) expected this weather conditions from January up until May 2011, thus, as early as possible the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) already warned residents of the affected region about the impending flashfloods and landslides that will be caused by this weather condition to avoid calamities and tragedies to happen. More flood related problems will arise, as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forewarned next year due to La Nina if the government will not do something to combat the expected weather disturbances. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)’s Flood Early Warning system(FEWS) is a warning systems that monitors and gathers rain data and river behavior wherein it provides timely warnings to communities about impending floods, thus saving lives, livelihood and properties. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) will provide training support of course to selected groups that will be tasked to operate FEWS on every barangays of every local government in the said affected regions in the Philippines.
