Click and Bang: Capturing Death

Celebrate New Year with a BANG! Yes, this is how the Dagsa family celebrated their New Year not with the Bang of the firecrackers but with a Bang of a gun into Reynaldo Dagsa wherein he have captured on his camera lens his assassin.

The murder case of Reynaldo Dagsa is interesting due to he captured his own death sentence through the lens of his own camera which consequently speed up his death case not like to some whose murderers were already lost in found.

According to his wife, Arlene Dagsa, his husband could have an option to escape the forthcoming death by the lens of his own camera and by the lens of his own very eyes but he opted to embrace the coming death just to save his own family that is in front of the gun man, else if he acted selfishly just to save his own life, one family member or his own family will sacrifice their live for his life.

“He must have thought the assassin would hurt his family or his relatives, or anybody in the area so he did not do anything that would compromise our safety. He took the bullet instead”, Arlene his wife said in an interview with the Philippine media.

The gunman is said to be his enemy in their barangay that took revenge against him by the gun man’s accusation that Reynaldo too shoot their love ones and the file false criminal cases against them. However, the gunman’s murder act is a foolish act for him not knowing he might be captured by the camera lens of Reynaldo which could be strong evidence against him.

However, not only the suspect acts foolishly but also the victim Reynaldo Dagsa and his family. For how come they took pictures outside their house in New Year’s Eve unaware of the stray firecrackers and stray bullets that might befall them that night. Moreover, he already knew that he has enemies within the barangay, how come he is not aware of the impending danger and threat that it might incur to his own life and to the lives of his beloved ones? Does they done it because of superstitious beliefs? If so, then this New Year’s superstitions have killed him and bring his own family a terrible bad luck contrary to what they suppose to expect, just what happen to the injured children and youths caused by firecrackers and superstitious beliefs of driving evil spirits on New Year’s Eve.

Therefore, is his style of death, the act of destiny hitting two birds at one stone?, wherein he acted willingly as well as the gunman in accordance to the will and dictation of how destiny will end up his life and will ruin the life of the gunman, respectively?

Therefore, is it really a murder most fool or murder most willing?
