Then, the Smart Araneta Coliseum (formerly Araneta Coliseum) thinks it is the only premier events arena in the Philippines, but now another premier events arena will arise to compete the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the Mall of Asia Arena.

According to Senior vice president of West Avenue Theatre Corp., the managing arm of the Mall of Asia Arena, Mall of Asia Arena is part of the Mall of Asia master plan to have a full entertainment center that will cater entertainment events that will be integrated with their SM shopping malls since their respective SM branches host inside and outside entertainment events, thus came about the Mall of Asia Arena similar to Smart Araneta Coliseum or events centers that caters large entertainment and sport events.

“..so the next missing component is an entertainment infrastructure to accommodate a good number of people, that’s why the Mall of Asia came about..”, says Edgar Tejerero.

The first-level of Mall of Asia Arena is consist of 16,000 seats and a full house capacity of 20,000 including those standing and performers area.”…It will also be equipped with cutting-edge technology and world-class amenities..” The first level is reserve or will be home of the UAAP and the NCAA Basketball League.

The flooring of the first-level of Mall of Asia Arena is made from Robins Inc. flooring materials; spalding basketball goals;”..Daktronics Scoreboard similar to what the NBA is using.
The Arena is also consist of press rooms, meeting and greeting rooms for press conferences ,four dugouts, nine loading bays, for ingress-egress of food, container trucks,escalators,16 smoking lounges, wi-fi ready stations, PWD access lanes. It is also equipped with CCTV cameras , police desk, a clinic and a standby ambulance.

In comparison to other event venues in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia, according to Tejerero.. “..that’s what really makes Mall of Asia Arena a lot different from other venues not just in the country but in Southeast Asia, because we haven’t seem a venue in Southeast Asia that has Corporate Suites similar to that on the United States..”

In competition with Smart Araneta Coliseum, the Mall of Asia Arena is located on the south so they could coexist without clashing one another’s business.

The Mall of Asia of Arena is located at Pasay city Philippines and will open its doors at May 19,2012 and will held its first entertainment show featuring Lady Gaga on May 21 and Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block on June 3.

How Mainstream Pinoy Media Treat Them?

In terms of sports games, Filipinos excel; from basketball to boxing sports; from bowling to billiard; from football to motorsports; and even on board games like chess, the Philippines have many champions. However, some sports champions of the Philippines in their respective sports disciplines were not given much attention by the mainstream media unlike to Manny Pacquiao who was given too much publicity and attention because the mainstream media gained money from his popularity. But to other sports champions of the Philippines since mainstream media don’t gained money from their respective championship games, they don’t put too much airtime reporting the achievements of these other sports champions. But if a particular sport champion has popularity rate, they will give much attention to him or her and even on the sports disciplines he or she is involved with because the mainstream media gain revenue or money by reporting this sport champion or giving him or her lot of airtime in their media network. It is pretty obvious the mainstream media bias in the Philippines not only on sports but also on everything. Take for example, the GMA Channel 7 has jump the boat of the popularity of the Philippine Football Team Azkals by creating a TV program about football.

Have one in the Philippines widely known the sports achievements of the late young motorsports champion Maico Buncio? No is not it, his sports achievements was only highlight at his sudden death. Now another young sports achiever is on the rise but have anyone widely in the entire Philippines known his victory?

Recently, another champion has been added to Philippine chess pool of champions by gaining his third Grandmaster title which qualify him into the list of most respected Grandmasters of the Philippine chess like Eugene Torre, Darwin Laylo, Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr., Wesley So, Beunaventura “Bong” Villamayor, Nelso Mariano II, Mark Paragua, Jayson Gonzales, John Paul Gomez, Joseph Sanchez, Roland Salvador, Rogelio “Banjo” Barcenillar Jr., Julio Catalino Sadorra and Rosendo Balinas Jr.

He is Mr. Oliver Barbosa of Pasay City Manila Philippines; a stalwart of the University of the Philippines who got his first Grandmaster (GM) title at the tenth Asian Continental Individual Chess Championships last May in Mashhad Iran and his second Grandmaster title last July at the National Chess Championship: Fourth Battle of the Grandmasters in Intramuros Manila.

Mr. Barbosa won over his opponents on the seventh and eighth round of the chess game which led him to gain his third Grandmaster title.
For if Mr. Barbosa have gain popularity rate only then the mainstream media in the Philippines will reports his championship in line of chess like to Manny Pacquioa and the Philippine Azkals.

The Bigger Big Dome Is Coming

It seems there are three ways to watch a performer, that is (1) watch the performer[s] or an artist on an elevated platform or stage while the audience were on the ground level watching upward toward the stage, (2) vice-versa or watch the performer[s] or an artist on the ground level while the audience were on the elevated seats or elevated platform watching downward toward the ground level where the performer[s] performs, and (3) watch the performer[s] or an artist on the same ground level just like the audience watching the performer[s] also on the same ground level together with the performer. But this third type of how to watch a performer is not quite recommended if there are many audience watching the performer[s],for only those who are on the front could watch the performer[s] on the same level and those audience behind could not behold the performance of the performer[s] because those audience watching behind are covered by the backs of those audience watching in front of them.

Thus, amphitheaters, coliseums and stadiums business infrastructure are hit and successful business ventures like the Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines wherein the Araneta Group who owns it gains large revenues from the various organizations who wanted to rent their coliseum for their respective upcoming events or activities or shows that requires a lot of audience or that requires large audience to see their events they would like to show off to the people and gain profit from the people watching their shows.

It is a hit business to own a modern day stadium, coliseum and theaters, nowadays: but you must have a large sum of money to invest to erect your own. Moreover, upgrading and updating and maintenance of your own coliseum also requires a lot of money and it is a must if you want to establish a sustain revenues from various organizations that would like to use your coliseum every so often.

This is what the Araneta Group plans to do with their famous Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines; in the coming years, a new modernized and well upgraded and updated coliseum will be unveiled to the Filipino public; new name, new facade, new buildings and new and upgraded seats and facilities.

According to Araneta Group CEO Jorge L. Araneta, the Araneta Coliseum or widely known in the Philippines as “The Big Dome” will be rename into now “Smart Araneta Coliseum” in partnership of Smart Communications.

A brand new upgraded seats now with cup holders will replace all the old 20,000 seats of the coliseum; escalators will also be installed and modernized new toilet facilities will also amazed and comfort the audience when they need to go to the restrooms.

There will be also new parking facility that will be built beside the coliseum and it will be a “green parking facility’ where plants are around the parking building. This parking facility will have a direct access to the Upper Box areas of the coliseum and indirect access to the Patron and Lower Box areas and will have escalators to the General Admission section.

A new private VIP boxes will be open and will be called “virtual boxes” that will provide VIP seatings for celebrities and that will offer top class food and beverages. Moreover, there will be a lounge bar where special guests or VIP persons could relax before and after the show. There would be also hotels that will be erected near the coliseum that will house international performer, businessmen, and local tourists.

Furthermore, there would be also a free Wi-fi access for those who would like to blog, tweet, share on facebook or whatever they wanted to share on the internet while they are on the show on the coliseum.
A giant LED walls will also be erected that will display schedules of shows and some video clips.

Most of all, the safety features of the coliseum will be improved to ensure more the safety of the people inside the coliseum.

Winning Streaks Started To Smell Fishy

A person who has a very sober thinking will not think that Manny Pacquiao’s winning streaks are true and credible but only a gullible and boxing fanatic will think like that because a person who truly uses his own thinking and intelligence will perceive something wrong and will smell something fishy going around. For a true thinking person is not blind.

There are already three boxing champs who smells fishy on Manny Pacquiao’s style of fighting, namely (1) Oscar De La Hoya (but already renounce his accusations that Pacquiao uses steroids supplements in fear perhaps of those powerful handler of Manny),(2) Floyd Mayweather accuses Pacquiao of the same thing, and now recently (3) Shane Mosley with the same accusation also via the famous micro-blogging site Twitter but he have clarified the issue that he never directly accused Manny of such but re-tweeted such tweets and only tweeted that Manny is the “better man that night…WFT..”.But the question is why Shane Mosley re-tweet such article if he has no any suspicion about Manny’s unbelievable style of fight. Moreover, he even said “..That PAC man hit me harder than anybody in my entire boxing career. Never went down so easy,” and “…”“In that fight, I didn’t get hit as much but ended up lumped up more than any fight,” So why does Mosley utter such words of perplex amazement if Manny has no dubious fighting strength?

Not only Mosley but also the rest of the champs he have fight with were perplexedly amazed about the strength of Manny’s fists but just reserved doubts to themselves and just respect Manny for it. His winning streaks started to smell fishy which recently he was alleged to be using a steroid to boost his strength on the ring but he himself and his trainer denied such but only said that Manny is just using a “food supplements”.[??]

Manny’s chief of staff Jake Joson said that Manny is just taking “food supplements” during Manny’s training, quote : “…Sa training lang po siya gumagamit ng kanyang vitamins and supplements. ‘Yun lang po ang ginagamit niya at wala na pong iba..”

Therefore, what is this with “food supplements” which makes Manny so stronger in the ring as attested by his former boxing opponents? Jake Joson never even Name some brands of so-called “food supplements” which he mention that Manny take just to clarify utterly the issue about Manny using steroids. For as we all know there are “food supplements” or should I say “bodybuilding supplements (for building Manny’s powerful fists)” that has secret steroids on them, even on natural vitamins as recent research said.

With the said quoted article above and Jake Joson statement that Manny is just using “food supplements” plus the perplex amazement of his former boxing opponents on his powerful fists, it make sense that Manny Pacquiao indeed uses Steroids, ignorantly though he deny using such.

Therefore, we could conclude that his winning streaks are indeed Fraud![???] And he is not a really Boxing Champ at all but was only used as a “bestseller” of Sports industry and other business companies to gain more money from the million fans of Manny Pacquiao  and many Filipinos in the Philippines has been trick again by a greedy oligarchs. [???!!!]What a clever business strategy to make money!, if these steroid issues against Manny can be verified and confirmed by Manny himself and his handlers but he will never confirm or verify it of course else his boxing career will come into a quick end, though there are already some implicit evidences.

True Champ till the End

I am writing again a short article about motorsports which the mainstream media and mainstream sports industry never given too much attention and awareness to the nationwide public but only concentrated on Manny Pacquiao’s boxing sensations and Phil Younghusband’s football which of course gave them money for reporting but to other areas of sports disciplines in the Philippines where a lot of Filipino also excelling, the mainstream never give too much attention because it has no money on reporting on such unpopular sports though there are already Filipinos excelling that needs to be supported by the government and need public attention.

Now, the late young motorsports champ Maico Buncio who died at the height of his racing stunts at the recent ongoing motorsports tournament at Clark Pampanga who unknown to major number of Filipinos nationwide was honored as the 2011 Golden Wheel Awards’ Driver of the Year which the mainstream media ,mainstream sports industry and even the PNoy administration never gave the needed honor and attention to be recognized but concentrated too much on the Money(Manny) making sports and political career of Pacquiao and the hearthrobing soon-to-be showbiz career of football superstar Phil Younghusband which is now link to Philippine young actress Angel Locsin to have a spark of romanticism something; was only reported on the mainstream media(but only a little) when the True Champ died and even on his death the mainstream just reported it lightly and never honor him like the honor and limelight they gave to Manny and Phil and the major number of Filipino never have a glimpse of who is Maico Buncio and his achievement in line with motorsports.

So sad that mainstream media and mainstream sports industry play biases of which to be reported on the public and what to be sensationalized instead of reporting everything without biases and honoring to whom honor is due, but was made bias by the call of money.

Ready, Set, Race!

Allow me to write a motorsports article again, this time it is about a premiere racing school in the Philippines whose racing career management program is patterned to the training program of Formula One and have partnership with US, Europe and fellow Asian racing programs to produce more motorsports champions in their Racing school and gear up all Pinoy motorsports enthusiasts with world-class and updated racing curriculum, technology and training programs.

This year 2011, the Tuason Racing School hopes for more victories and champions from their racing school. Moreover, I also hope that the mainstream TV media will also give attention to other sports disciplines wherein Filipinos also excel and stop focusing excessively on the phenomenon boxing success of Manny Pacqiuao which the mainstream TV media obviously exploit for their own personal gain to earn more money through it.

Other Filipino athletes also deserve a public attention and recognition.

Motorsports is not a common sports in the Philippines but this kind of sports is slowly growing as the Golden Wheel Foundation – a RP motorsports foundation that seeks to help Filipinos who are inclined to motorsports enrich their passion for this kind of sports- held again its annual Golden Wheel Awards last February 26,2011 at the PAGCOR theater for the 8^th time since it started last year 2003 to heat up more the brakes of Philippine motorsports into fast drive toward a recognition to be one of the A-list of Philippine sports aside from basketball, boxing and the aspiring football sports.

There are twelve disciplines in this kind of sports or on Philippine motorsports sports that a motorsports athletes could be entitled to have recognition and award from the Golden Wheel Awards, namely :

(2) Motocross race

(3) Karting race

(4) Underbone race

(5) Rallycross race

(6) Rallye race

(7) Slalom race

(8) Drifting race

(9) 4X4 off-road racing

(10) Grand touring race

(11) Superbikes race

(12) and Drag racing

Actually, since the Golden Wheel Awards beginnings last 2003, it has already produced now famous Pinoy motorsports athletes like the motorsports champs Glenn Aguilar for motorcross racing, Stefano Marcelo for karter race, Jonathan Tiu for drag racing, Maico Buncio for superbikes race, Michele Bungarner for karter race, and some others.

However, this kind of sports in the Philippines is not yet fully recognized or not yet ingrained on Filipino public mainstream sports consciousness that needs more boost and media exposures so that Filipinos would also have interest on it. But let’s see if this rare sport in the Philippines will finally emerge on the mainstream sports of Filipinos or will still be left unpopular and lethargic.

New Sports For Pinas?

Football is not a new ball sports in the Philippines because it is already being played by Filipinos who have interest in this kind of ball game but recently it is gaining attention on the Filipino public mainstream consciousness just like basketball and boxing sports when the mainstream media highlights the international football competition held at Bacolod city Philippines wherein the Philippine football team ( or so-called Philippine Azkals) is one of the football competitors; in their news. Moreover, the Philippine Department of Education would like to add this ball sports on the curriculum of public schools being overwhelmed by the recent victory of football Philippine team.

“I think that would be a sustainable way. Then we could still identify specialized high schools which we could support with a full-blown football sports program,” he added…..The DepEd has long been planning to develop specialized high schools for sports, the arts and technical-vocational learning as part of the proposed K+12 (kindergarten plus 12 years) program, an expansion of the 10-year basic education cycle…..The proposal, which aims to develop highly employable high school graduates, is undergoing public consultations that are set to culminate in April.”—PDI

This renewed interest on the football game in the Philippines can be brought by the presence of the young Fil- australian player of Philippine football team, Phil Younghusband which the Philippine media sensationalized and “celebritized” in their reports, which I guess influences the common Filipino household viewers to spark an interest on football game seeing that this Phil Younghusband is a gorgeous young man which they could idolized like the showbiz personalities they admire on TV, as if he is the good thing in a boring game or as if he is the reason why Filipinos have interest on football game or watch football game. Moreover, not only Phil Younghusband found the Filipinos appealing but also the rest of the male football team of the Philippines that posses good looks which I guess also contributes to the renewed interest of Filipinos on football games as well as the Philippine medias sudden highlights of their game, especially the famous TV networks in the Philippines who could scout these football players into entering Philippine showbiz in their respective TV stations.

If the so-called Philippine Azkals or Philippine football team succeeded on their goal to have winning streaks on their upcoming games, surely I guess, football will be the next big thing on Philippine Sports after the success of boxing sports which was resurfaced by the success of Manny Pacquiao on the mainstream sports consciousness in the Philippines.

So, football could be the “new” sports for Pinas this year 2011; let’s see if the Philippine Azkals have the guts to bring football game on Filipino mainstream sports.

For the Sake of Manny

The upcoming fight of Manny Pacquiao with Antonio Margarito lacks excitement and impression neither his previous fights, except only for his first, second and third fights on the ring of boxing sports, for those who already knew the major purpose of his fight and his dubious winning streaks; Either Manny is unaware that he is being dupe by the elites behind the world’s boxing sports industry that they compel Manny to believe that he is indeed the “Superman” in the world’s boxing ring because he is easy to be controlled due to his lack of formal education and comes from a very poor family that will do anything in order to survive or Manny is very aware of the scripting of the fights or his fights yet he lacks critical thinking of what is happening and what is this negotiations all about and just play and obey the protocol given to him, so also on the opponent party. Both parties agreed to this part of the elite ones behind the World’s Boxing sports industry. Then, the two boxers will do their usual “Standard Operating Procedure” trainings and requirements and preparation before the fight to make their fights more believable or credible.

For only those who have a gullible mind will think that the winning streaks of Manny pacquiao is real and true; Manny Pacquiao is just like us. Moreover, watching two living beings fight against one another with spills of blood on their faces and bodies, with cheerful disposition is not really pleasant pleasure unless their fights is not real and true but only scripted. But does boxing fights just scripted like the wrestling fights or it is a real fight? If it is a real fight, the two opponents should be angry and mad toward one another and that they pour their wrath against one another as in they want to kill one another, is not it?, to make it a real true fight. But does boxing fights real or scripted only; a scripted fight or a game fight that has scripts like wrestling or like any other game and sports? Are the two boxing opponents really fight against one another or it is just a scripted one and it is just a game with no real grudge, anger and rage to kill one another or no real fight to fight the opponents in the game?

It is just a game, a game to win money prizes and awards, is not it? So Manny Pacquiao’s fights are not real but just fake!; a scripted fight in concordance with boxing sports rules and regulations. So his winning streaks in boxing fights are just nothing but a Man that has become a superstar on his credible acting pieces on his successive movies. A man who knows how to play the script and role he was given to act and play.

So what’s the celebration is all about when Manny Pacquio wins the scripted game of boxing sports? Winning a contest makes a person Hero? You are out of your mind! This is how some Filipinos’ critical thinking fails! They worship their fellow men like gods when they done great things.

Manny Pacquiao is just playing the scripts of the game of boxing and winning the contests is like Petra winning a beauty contests but that doesn’t make Petra a heroine of the Philippines. Manny Pacquiao’s fights are not real fights, it is just scripted in accordance to rules and protocols of boxing sports disciplines.

Manny Pacquiao’s winning streaks is plausibly manipulated or really can be manipulated because it I just a game and not real fight for the sake of Manny’s popularity and viability as a boxing profitable or bankable boxing persona; a money machine. Yap, just what boxing sports hosts tagged him: “MANNY PACMAN!” – Which means “MONEY EATER”. Get the pun and connotation?

MANNY = MONEY; PACMAN = EATER. Gets?

Now you know that Manny Pacquiao’s fights are not real but it is just scripted for the game the world loves-boxing game to give entertainment.

I know Manny Pacquiao do not have a grudge or anger against his opponents for it is just a game that has no real fights. His punch to his opponents are not real and true of course but just a scripted punch in concordance with the rules and regulation of the boxing sports of how to punch an opponent in the game.

See, his fights are not real and true and moreover, it could even doctor to favor Manny’s winning. So don’t be a fool on watching sports games, they are not real. It will only become real if the sports athletes violated the rules and regulations in the game he or she is playing.

Does Manny Pacquiao have violated the rules and regulation of boxing sports? So far there is no reported violations of Manny, that is why those elites within the world boxing industry loves him so much because he know how to play the scripts he is commanded to act. Thus, they could favor his winnings and could make him “Boxing Champion”.

Perhaps, it’s time for Filipinos to take the big leap of faith to compete against the famous and best selling sports shoes like Nike, Converse and Adidas; and now Peak, if those Filipino shoe makers in Marikina city desire their shoes to outdone the imported ones in the market and make Filipinos proud of their shoes; even more Filipinos loves to play basketball. Thus, perhaps the Marikina city shoe makers should concentrate on making all original Filipino sports shoe to their fellow Filipino basketball players or to PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) to be the official sports shoe rather than making the imported sports shoes the official sports shoe of the Philippine Basketball Association for their Filipino basketball players.
