Makati city Philippines is known in the world as one of the cities in the Philippines that thrives on commerce and banking and innovative business technology; recently, the Makati city have tried another new advanced technology to boost more its economic standing within the Metro. However, the Makati city government said that this technology is still “free of charge” until it is proven effective on the field test, only then the Makati city will enter a financial agreement of its usage within the city.

The technology is about capturing traffic violators accurately or a traffic control system called QPAX Traffic System that will capture traffic violators within the city.

Makati city Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay and his fellow government officials in Makati city have recently entered an agreement with the said traffic technology with an Australian based company who owns the QPAX Traffic System technology to be field test on the road realm of Makati city free of charge for feasibility study purposes until it is proven effective only then the Makati city government will bring out funds to fund the usage of the technology within the city.

As it is said on their agreement, once the traffic device (the QPAX Traffic System) have collected enough datas to certify the feasibility of the traffic device system, to caught correct and accurate traffic violators as well as establishing a strong traffic control management, then this traffic control technology will permanently installed and use on Makati city traffic lights wherein the Makati city government will shouldered the finance of it through getting taxes from its people to generate funds for its usage within the city.

The QPAX Traffic System device will capture traffic violators and even jaywalkers within the Makati roads which will be mounted next to a traffic light for about three months free of charge.

The traffic device is using a red light camera that will capture image of a driver or people that violate traffic laws which will ensure filing of cases or imputing punishment on correct and accurate traffic violators compare to human traffic enforcers that is ineffective and even corrupt. An IT specialist even boast that QPAX Traffic System technology is incorruptible compare to human traffic enforcers, but the IT specialist overlook that QPAX is just a machine that is susceptible of making errors if it malfunctions. Thus, it is also corruptible.

By the way, Makati city is the first city in the Philippines to use such traffic control technology.

Separate To Progress

Sometimes despite of the phenomenal success one is experiencing, there are things that are connected to us that are left behind not progressing or cannot go along with the success we are experiencing. It is either because one is so dominant that the other one’s only option is to follow and obey or the other one is being suppressed to shine and left not helped and despised.

Such is the case for the creation of a new province in the Philippines out of the limbs of Camarines Sur Philippines. The creation of the new province, named Nueva Camarines was brought out from Camarines Sur because of the idea I mentioned above.

Despite of the phenomenal tourism success of Camarines Sur (CamSur) which contributes greatly to the sudden increase of its revenues, still there are districts within Camarines Sur left behind from the phenomenal success Camarines Sur is presently experiencing. That is, according to reports the districts within Camarines Sur that could not get along the sudden tourism success of Camarines Sur, are the fourth and fifth districts, that experiences financial poverty and economic retardation despite the districts on the front rows of Camarines Sur were experiencing financial and economical lift.

Thus, the fourth district representative of Camarines Sur, Arnulfo Fuentebella proposed a bill to separate the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur from Camarines Sur into a brand new province in the Philippines to boost the financial, social, and economic status of the two districts in order to resuscitate the dying poor families within the two districts of Camarines Sur.

However, though Fuentebella’s idea is promisingly good, the current governor of Camarines Sur sharply opposes and contradicts this idea of Fuentebella. Current Camarines Sur provincial governor Luis “LRay” Villafuerte Jr. said that the idea to separate the poor districts of Camarines Sur into a new Camarines province will only reverse the phenomenal gains and benefits that the people of Camarines Sur (CamSur) are experiencing and enjoying because of a boost of tourism revenues within the province.

But in my opinion, if LRay Villafuerte Jr. is right and accurate on his claim that the people of Camarines Sur are enjoying and experiencing economic and financial bliss, how come there are findings conducted by the University of the Philippines that the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur are experiencing not the effects and the impacts of the economic growth LRay Villafuerte claim? And why does there is a need to save the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur by separating them from the main province into a brand new Camarines province, named Nueva Camarines, if the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur are also experiencing financial and economic bliss as LRay Villafurte jr. claim?

Did LRay Villafuerte just overwhelmed of the phenomenal economic progress of Camarines Sur tourism industry and overlook the whole entire picture? Or he is just bias in his perspective in considering that the only people in Camarines Sur are the districts on the front rows? But if not, what are his plans for the left behind districts of Camarines Sur?

For he says that the plan to divide the province into two provinces, namely, Camarines Sur and Nueva Camarines; is a setback that will short-circuit the ongoing tourism success of the province of Camarines Sur. According to LRay Villafuerte, Camarines Sur tourism phenomenal success have already put the province on the international tourism map wherein international tourists have already known and interested to pay visit, so according to him, why compromise such already economic progress of the province by messing up the districts within it.

Moreover, he accuses Fuentebella of gerrymandering regarding Fuentebella’s desired to separate the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur. But in my opinion, if Fuentebella is just gerrymandering why does the findings of the University of the Philippines regarding the economic status of the fourth and fifth districts of Camarines Sur matches with what Fuentebella ‘s claim which inspires him to create a bill to separate these two poor districts of Camarines Sur into a new Camarines province (Nueva Camarines) that will give these two poor districts of Camarines Sur a chance to grow which could eventually help the poor families within the two districts? Moreover, Fuentebella’s side has already gain a landslide votes in the lower house regarding the creation of the new Camarines province which is Nueva Camarines if Fuentebella is wrong and just mere gerrymandering?

LRay Villafuerte Jr. could be wrong on his accusations that Fuentebella is just gerrymandering and may look politically insecure instead rather than Fuentebella.

By the way, if this issue has finally settled and the bill for the creation of Nueva Camarines is all approved and official, the Philippines and the Filipinos could proudly proclaim to the world that they have a new province in Visayan region which Philippine history and geographical books should include, that is, NUEVA CAMARINES.

Mindanao is Not a Scary Place

Beset with so much overwhelming bad news and reports like constant terroristic bombings on public places, Abu Sayyaf’s random kidnapping spree, Muslim and communists leftist groups constant war with Philippine military forces, and constant defamation of Islam religion by mainstream Christian media around the world wherein Islam is the known dominant religion on Mindanao Philippines, one who is not familiar and not inhabitant of Mindanao Philippines will wonder how wrecked is the government in Mindanao or one will be conclusive to think that local governments in Mindanao are terribly in bad management. But is it if one knows the heart of this region of the Philippines?

Yes, amidst all these bad news proliferating on mainstream media and on Christian indoctrination against Islam about Mindanao, one will be astound to know that Mindanao’s local governments has been winning the most commendable places with effective good governmental programs in the Philippines in the “Galing Pook Awards”; just recently this year, among the 15 finalist, five of local government units of Mindanao bagged the awards, namely, the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Surigao Del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Cagwait Surigao del Sur and Dumingag Zamboanga Del Sur. Prior to these latest awardees, there are also places or provinces in Mindanao that has won the “Galing Pook Awards”; these are, Sulu, Kapatagan Lanao Del Sur, Wao Lanao Del Sur, Bongao Tawi-Tawi, Upi Maguindanao, and South-Western Ligwasan Alliance of municipalities in Maguindanao.

These latest awardees won by their effective governmental programs like the former winners as follows:

(1) Misamis Oriental – for its “Strategic Innovations for Government Hospitals” that bridged hospitals around their province to be accessible to all people in Misamis; outsourcing funds for facility development, improving effective communication and referral networks, introducing consignment scheme on regards to pharmaceutical-medical enterprise, and others pertaining to innovative governmental hospital administration.

(2) Surigao Del Sur – for its innovation on maternal-midwifery management.

(3)  Zamboanga Del Norte – for its “Hillylands Green Rehabilitation and Livelihood Program (Hi-Green)” that seeks to promote Green concept in their community.

(4) Cagwait Surigao del Sur – for its “Cagwait’s Best Program” that promotes neighborhood solidarity and community-barangays development through reward system.

(5) Dumingag Zamboanga Del Sur – for its innovative and improved sustainable agriculture through promotion of organic farming programs.

With these good reports regarding local government management in Mindanao, we can conclude that Mindanao Philippines is not a bad place or region in the Philippines contrary to bad news being reported on mainstream media and Muslim people are no war freaks as what Christian preachers try to paint to their followers.

Bitter China And Provocative Philippines

After the fiasco of August 23,2010 bus hostage drama which killed innocent Chinese nationals wherein proper justice has not yet truly served for the victims that has made China bitter toward the Philippines; would perhaps, that is why the Chinese government never considers the plea of the Philippine government regarding the innocence of the three convicted and executed Filipinos last March, counter strike again the Philippine move, now against Philippines diplomatic protest at the United Nations (UN) filed this April 2011 regarding Philippine claim of the sovereignty over the Kalayaan Island Group of Spratlys Islands telling the United Nations that the Philippine invaded or conquered the Spratlys or Nansha Islands(China’s name for Spratlys) in 1970s which is theirs or part of their sovereignty and  territory in contrast with the Philippine protest that China’s claim regarding Spratlys has no basis in international law.

China strongly counteracts that the Philippines diplomatic notes regarding Philippine claim over Kalayaan Island Group in the Spratlys “..are totally unacceptable to the Chinese government..”.For the Kalayaan Island Group that is part of their Nansha Islands (Spratlys) was long since theirs and it is supported with abundant historical and legal evidences and the Philippines during 1970s,never claims ownership of the island during then that the Philippines is making a series of treaties defining the Philippine territory and Philippines invasion of the Kalayaan Island Group during the 1970s which is considered an unlawful act to claim rights on the islands without legal acts of ownership against China’s historical ownership of the islands could not make the Philippines’ claim rights invalid and void.

Moreover, the Philippines only proof of ownership is just a mere updated “detailed map” that can be doctored which is really unprofessional on owning something as well as conquering an island which is not historically yours.

Furthermore, it is ironic that the PNoy administration is now defending what the 1970 Philippine administration have done as the China allegedly claim; actually the 1970 administration is the administration of former Philippine president Ferdinand E. Marcos which is Aquino’s mortal enemy.

Does the present Philippine government –Pnoy administration – doing a shabby act again in front of world leaders that will not only ruin its relationship with China but also put the entire Philippines under great shame and even set the Philippines in war against China? Moreover, set a war on the South China Sea which recently provokes also Taiwan to warn the Philippines from such escalating tensions it fuels against China.

Buffer Zone Is Now Ban For Housing

Due to numerous earthquakes happening nowadays around the world and their very unpleasant aftermath, the Philippines due to it is also one of the countries included on the so-called “Pacific Ring Of Fire” is declaring the 594 lots or the buffer zone areas near the West Valley Fault or the formerly known as the Marikina Valley Fault line, as a nonresidential zones or housing projects should not be erected on these buffer lots to avoid further damages and fatalities cause by a strong earthquake. For because it is near the West Valley fault System, any housing project erected by this buffer zone be shallow by the ground when a ground rupture happens during a strong earthquakes.

However, for those who have already residential or commercial estates on the buffer zone or on the lots ban by the Quezon City government, it is advisable and recommended to evacuate or move out from their estate properties to avert impending earthquake disaster upon them and their properties. Actually, according to the reports, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) have already informed the estate owners on the said 594 lots on the buffer zone regarding the Valley Fault System and the effects of a strong earthquake on it.

By the way, Valley Fault System or widely known as the Marikina Fault System is the Philippine fault line on the so-called “Pacific Ring Of Fire”; it has two regions, namely the West Valley Fault System and the East Valley Fault System and are located on the Marikina area.

A fault line is a fracture or crack on earth’s crust or the surface of a land that could lead to big chasm if a strong earthquake strikes.

Landslide Capital Of the Philippines?

Recently last March 17, 2011 another landslide hit this seemingly landslide favorite province of Mother Nature of the Philippines – Leyte Philippines.

The recent landslide happens at Tacloban city trigger by successive rains. Fortunately there are only few fatalities but this seemingly endless landslide problem of Leyte is not yet given a solution that will make the episodic landslide activities a full rest on peace. Large landslides on Leyte Philippines that have happened in the past that cause large number of fatalities and damage on Leyte’s agriculture such as the Ormoc Leyte tragedy and the February 2006 St.Bernard Guinsaugon village Leyte mudslide disaster and other minor landslides and mudslides that erases one localities on Leyte seems not enough to wake up the local government of Leyte of what to do with it effectively to abort another forthcoming landslides in the future in their province. They don’t yet seem to have come up an effective solution to end all this unpleasant sliding, but why?

Leyte Philippines as we all know it is an island that has coastlines and its terrain is mountainous which contribute perhaps to all these landsliding problems either cause by a super typhoon or a strong earthquake that triggers the sliding effect.

Curtailing Human Sexual Rights

There is a village in the Philippines which I guess heavily influenced by the Catholic priests that controls the use of condoms and contraceptives among the village constituents by imposing an ordinance that before one could buy and use condoms, one should have a prescription paper from a doctor else if one violates it one will be jailed and will pay 5000 pesos fine. This village in the Philippines is the Ayala Alabang village.

Their ordinance have really vestiges of Catholic Church influence which they of course research first to validate and legalized the ordinance which according to former health secretary Dr. Carmencita N. Reodrica that the bill the atty. Of Ayala Alabang village base their ordinance is already obsolete and no more applicable on a modern democratic-open minded world. But how come it was approved if it is already obsolete bill? There is something fishy on it; Catholic Church is very influential among the rich Christians in the Philippines.

To imposed such ordinance means curtailing the human rights of anyone within their village to have sex anytime using condoms and contraceptives as sexual protection.

Their basis for controlling and dictating is not really reasonable unless condom sellers in their village sell defective condoms or there is an outbreak of AIDS that needs to be controlled, for they never have any reasonable reasons for it but only depend that the ordinance they imposed is legal and constitutional and some silly reason like protecting and safeguarding unborn child?..Silly, how can they protect unborn child if they curtail the usage of condom and contraceptives which protects the couple to have unwanted baby and avoid them succumb to abortion because they use condom?..With their silly ordinance, what they don’t want to happen will surely happen because they curtail the usage of condom.

This insane idea is surely influenced by the Catholic Church to appease their unreasonable fight against RH bill. Hay, the pride “chicken” of the Catholic Church, they are already unreasonable they still insist they are right and reasonable.

Birds and Eggs Festival

Candaba Pampanga Philippines is well known in the Philippines to be the home of variety of migratory birds that migrates on its Candaba swamp during the winter seasons from the respective countries these birds came from to seek abundant food on the Candaba swamp. This natural bird sanctuary in the Philippines is one of the best tourist attractions for most tourist adventurers who are fond of nature’s beauty or are nature lovers.

Moreover, it is not motivated by a religious influence rather by a grateful heart for the migratory birds that choose Candaba swamp as their second home and gave them an income from the tourists who visit the nature’s attractions. The festival will also showcase local duck-egg industry in Pampanga, street-dancing, exhibits, bird watching tours, parade, boat race, Candaba swamp and river cruise at the Pampanga River and “bird kite” flying.

Ibon and Ebon are two Kapampangan words which mean:

Ibon = which means “Bird”

Ebon = which means “Egg”

Thus, it is alternatively called “Birds and Eggs Festival”.

Makati Central Pleasure
